Paris Carte Postale I : Rooftops and Towers

Paris Carte Postale I : Rooftops and Towers

Bonjour, blogosphere! I’m back from my trip back to Paris (and several other parts of France + Florence), and excited to share photos and tidbits with you.

I always feel at home à Paris, and this trip was no different. A perfect mix of brusque grande ville and aesthetic hodgepodge of historic eras past, Paris, even with all its challenges (like in any city), remains one of my favorite places in the world.

From the moment I land at l’aéroport, I’m reminded of the things distinctly France – from the prominent cigarette smoke +  not-so-soft toilet paper to the delicious baguettes, chocolats, and cafés on every corner –  and it’s like I never left (though, in reality the last time I was in the country was in 2015).

This trip consisted of a week in Paris before embarking (with my boyfriend) on a 2-week marathon of traveling from Paris all the way down to Firenze, Italia! I was very lucky to be on the trip at all, but especially lucky to visit several friends, eat a bunch of great food, and see wonderful sights.

There’s never enough time to do everything I want to do, see all the people I want to see, and eat everything I hoped to eat, but we made a pretty good effort 😉 Today, I want to share some photos from Paris, that I dub the “carte postale” series, because I think they’re pretty stereotypically Parisian/tourist/center arrondissements. For this first post in the series, I give you rooftops + towers.

Are you travelng soon? Let me know if you’d like any recommendations! And as always, would love to hear of your Paris travels (or any travels)! Looking forward to your comments 🙂
