The Nightly Sketch: France Editions

The Nightly Sketch: France Editions

Last summer, I embarked on my usual spurred-by-the-summer-season spurt of artistic creativity – The Nightly Sketch. As (again) usual, I stopped after a while. Recently,  I tried to reinstate it. Didn’t last that long either.

However, in an attempt to revive these little efforts from the dead, I thought I’d share them here. Hopefully, I’ll get back on the sketching/drawing train soon. I also need to finish some drawings for my mom’s birthday.

Anyway, these drawings are created (in Philly) based off of photos I took in France, or photos I found on the internet. Or I’ll model certain parts with a reference photograph. I drew them in summer 2016, and posted them before on my previous blog. I hope you enjoy! They’re not super complex or anything, but I enjoy drawing them. I use mostly pencil, Sakura micron pens and Tombow brush markers. [The first two are not Paris/France related]

Tomorrow, I’ll find the sketches I did based on some of Doisneau’s lovely photographs.

Here’s to hoping I reinstate Nightly Sketch soon!
